Fallbrook Rice Canyon Fire 1:55 A.M. Tuesday

I am on top of a hill South of San Luis Rey River, 76 and East Vista way.

Wind has shifted and is now blowing toward the South. 76 is closed down East of East Vista Way.

I see some light redish glow in the smoke, but no big fires.

Hope the reinforcements can get a handle on this before the wind picks up again.

I am not happy with this wind change as it will start blowing fire and smoke my way.

Glad to see all the good comments. I am going to get some sleep for a few hours.

This fire wiped out my neigborhood on Gird road, just above the golf course...houses a total loss. You can google earth 1612 Wilt Road to see the area (my house that burned). Horrible...

We just drove into the Neighborhood immediately South of the Pala Mesa Resort known as the Pala Mesa Fairway Villas. All of the homes on Olivos Court, Almendra Court, Serranos Court and Arboles Court were saved by the firefighters. The home at the corner of Los Padres and Daisey with the address of 2555 was saved as well. The fire came right up to this neighborhood on the fairways on the north side and east side of Los Padres Court. The only fire damage we could see in this neighborhood, was a week fence at 2735 Almendra Court. The rest of the home at this address were saved.

my best friend just moved to Fallbrook a month ago. I am so scared for him and his family. I am not sure what road they live on but i hope they are safe. I hope everyone is safe. they aren't allowed to use cells right now so everyone has to be patient.

Does anyone know the status of the adobe built homes in a community called Pala Mesa Village. Thet are located off old hwy 395 and just 1 mile south of the country club and adjacent to the Pala Mesa Market.

Thanks
