Fallbrook Fire San Diego County

It is hot. It is dry. The winds are blowing hard from the East.

I am on top of a hill South of the San Luis River. To the North of the River is Fallbrook. I can see toward Fallbrook, West Oceanside, back side of Camp Pendleton and all the way to the sea.

Fallbrook is engulfed in smoke and flames! And it is moving west toward Oceanside, Camp Pendleton and the Pacific Ocean.

Pictures to follow......

My parents are in Fallbrook... I am in Maine watching events unfold. They are evacuated now and we all just sit and wait.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and all your neighbors!

Thanks for the video. We're in Vista, but are in the process of selling our house in Fallbrook. Escrow is supposed to close in seven days. The house is on Via Floresta, at the end of North Main Street. The neighborhood received reverse 911 calls and several neighbors are evacuating. We don't know where the fire is in relation to the house - whether our neighborhood is in its path or not...We've gotten some items out, photos and such, but we're really worried about our neighbors, and the house, of course.

We are in LA but own a home in Fallbrook off West Dougherty. We are getting NO news about the Fallbrook fire. It would be great if someone could give us an update as to where it is? Have any homes burned?

Qualcomm is currently at max capacity
I know that anyone needing info about houses and condo lost can look on the signonsandiego web site with a live radio show being broadcast with people calling in the call in number is 1-866-818-6384.
A caller into the show gave this blog a good shoutout

Why is the National media ignoring San Diego county and focusing their news on little old malibu, this needs to be corrected.
Hang in there guys, we are all thinking of you after surviving the fires 4 years ago.
